The Children’s Assistance Foundation (C.A.F.) is a non-profit corporation that QLS founder Kyle Bauer, started to help local kids who have been affected by either some type of catastrophic accident or serious illness. The mission of the C.A.F. is to bring our community together to help those in need. In most cases, due to the circumstances surrounding each child, we may not be able to pay a huge portion of their medical costs. However, we have found that we are able to touch each child and their families by providing assistance in ways other than monetary. Through our foundation, we have built handicapped accesses to homes, bought medical supplies and computers, and found key people such as physicians who are willing to donate their services to these children.
In May of each year, QLS hosts the Children’s Assistance Foundation “
Ride for Hope” fundraiser. With the generosity of over 1,000 community members, this annual fundraiser helps to provide vital support for our area’s children in need.
QLS is currently looking for not only volunteers to help with the yearly fundraiser, but also those who would be willing to donate their time and energy and serve as a Children’s Assistance Foundation board member. If you have any ideas regarding our foundation or if you would like more information concerning board member duties, please contact Kyle Bauer at QLS. The success of this foundation truly lies on “A Few Good People.”
