Racquetball Schedule

 

 

Men's and Women's League Play starts:  

“A” Player:  Someone who plays regularly... a top player in the club. Trains regularly, backhand & forehand strokes are near equal... Good depth of knowledge, with high shot percentage, no apparent weaknesses... has perfected shot selection and uses passing shots as well as kills when possible.

 

“B” Player: Someone who plays regularly and finds time to practice on their own to perfect their shots. Has good knowledge of court strategy & positioning in offense and defense situations... Is able to select the proper shot most of the time.

 

“C” Player: You play frequently, and are developing your strengths. Level of knowledge is rising and can execute most shots with some precision. Can safely attempt ceiling, pinches, pass shots, and an occasional rollout.

 

“D” Player: Someone who is just beginning to receive instruction, but lacks playing experience.

 

Novice Player: Just getting started...

 

Challenge  Court  Nights: Thurs. Nights (women's) 7-9 pm & Tues. Nights (Men's) 6-8 pm A, B, & C , D & Novice Players.  Challenge Court is a time to meet and play others of similar ability in an informal setting.  Players are   randomly paired off, with the winner remaining on the court and a new challenger coming in and so on.   A player winning three consecutive games must yield to two new players.

 

Adult League Guidelines 

 · - Player are divided into groups by sex & skill level. No Experience Necessary.

·   - League is played in a round-robin format, with each player participating in one   match per week. 

         - Matches are two games to 15 and Tiebreaker to 11 (if necessary).

·   - Participants will be notified of start date and be provided with a schedule prior to the beginning of each league.                                                               

·   - Weekly updates of results will be emailed and will be posted on the bulletin board near court #1.  

·   - Member League Fees: $30.00:  Includes Free T-Shirt, Instructional Clinic and Season End Championship Tournament with Awards in each Division

 

 

QLS Junior League Guidelines

                                           League is open to Youths & Teens of all ages (8 to 18)

         - Beginners are welcome and encouraged to participate. No experience necessary.

         - AmPRO Certified Instructor & National Racquetball Champion John Bryant will run Free Instructional clinics. See Roger for details.

         - Contact Roger for League Start Times.

         - Kids play one opponent per week at their convenience.

         - Championship tournament will be held at the completion of the league

         - League Fee is just $10 and includes a FREE t-shirt

Club League Rules:

 - Must wear safety glasses at all times.

 - Tennis shoes with light colored soles only.

 - No food or drink on the court.

 - Play on assigned court at assigned time.

 - Max four players per court.

 - No horse play on courts.
