POLICIES & PROCEDURES
QLS KIDS CLUB
- Ages 6 weeks - 12 years
- Purchase with your Membership or Simply pay the $3.00 Daily Guest Visit.
- For security reasons you Must Have your Driver License with you when you drop off your Children.
- We welcome your children in the QLS Kids Club once daily, for a maximum of 2-hours per day.
- Prior to a “Family Member” dropping off a child (other than legal guardian or parent), a Medical Authorization Waiver
must be signed by parent, authorizing medical power of attorney and notarized prior to leaving the child.
These forms are available in the QLS Kids Club.
- Parents are required to personally sign their children in & out. We will release the children to the parents only.
- A copy of the child's immunization record is required within 7 days of the first visit.
- For safety & health reasons, all children must wear shoes.
- If your child cries for longer than 15 minutes & cannot be consoled, you will be paged to pick up your child.
- Children with discipline problems (i.e. biting, hitting, etc) will be given a warning, and a conference will be scheduled
with the parent. If behavior persists, it will be necessary to permanently remove the child from CAC.
- Your child’s happiness is our #1 concern, so please bring them in fed. For those that are still in diapers, please bring
them in clean and dry.
- Please bring necessary items such as disposable diapers, pacifier (attached to clothes) & a change of clothes.
Remember to label all items with your child's name.
- Preventing the spread of infectious germs is a TOP PRIORITY! Please keep your child at home if he/she is sick or
not feeling well.
- Please bring special needs or health problems to the attention to our staff.
- State Law prohibits us from keeping a child whose parent is not in the facility.
- QLS Members & Guest utilizing Spa QLS may take advantage of QLS’s Kids Club with same policies as stated
above. (Note: A child may not exceed 2-hour visit one time per day).
FACILITY USAGE
- No Children under the age of 10 are allowed on the training floor.
- Children 10-12 years old must be within 3 ft. of parents AT ALL TIMES while on the floor.
- ASCM does not recommend Strength Training to Youth 10-13
- Youth 13-17 must go through our training course before being allowed on the floor unsupervised. QLS highly
recommends that a parent be close by if your child is under 18.
- Proper footwear is required. No open-toed shoes or bare feet allowed.
- Closed-toe footwear is required for rock-wall climbing.
POOL RULES
- No lifeguard on duty
- Parents must accompany children under the age of 14
- No diving
- No running
- Must rinse off before entering the pool
- No food or drink or glass containers in pool area
- Bathing suits only. No cut-offs
- No personal loud music
- No magazines, newspapers, or paper of any sort in the dry sauna room
- Pool temperature is 84 degrees (ACSM guidelines)ea unsupervised.
- Due to health related concerns NO child under the age of 5 will be allowed in the Hot Tub.
CLUB POLICIES
- A 24-hr cancellation is required on all Spa Services, Personal Training Sessions, and Fit-Trac Appointments.
- Full charge of $69.00 will be assessed on all No-Shows. Call 281-812-6963
- Scanning QLS key tag upon each visit to club is required
- No refunds or exchanges on nutritional products
- No abusive language
- No fighting or rough play
- Members are not allowed to do Personal Training with other members for money or for free. Personal Training is when an
individual professes to be more knowledgeable in the ways of "working out" and begins to demonstrate, teach, and
allow others (who are less knowledgeable) to follow their lead and take their advice; whether it be on the elements of
lifting weights or in the area of nutritional consultation.
SPA QLS
- A 24-hr cancellation is required on all Spa Services or your account will be billed ($27.50 per ½ hour)
- Complimentary “No-Shows” will not be rescheduled & have 30-day expiration from day of receipt.
- Gift certifications and Spa Packages have a 6-month expiration from date of purchase
- No children allowed in Spa area (childcare available in Kids Club)
- Casual, comfortable dress
- 1st time clients should arrive 15 minutes prior to appt. time for necessary paperwork
- If possible, please wear a minimal amount of jewelry, or none at all
- No refunds on services
PROPER CLOTHING & HYGIENE
- Appropriate athletic shoes only. No street shoes, boots or sandals are allowed in the workout areas.
- Shorts, sweat pants, tee shirts, tank tops and spandex accessories may be worn if deemed appropriate by the club
management.
- Clean workout clothing is required. The management will address unsatisfactory hygiene conditions and corrective
action may be required.
- All other clothing and shoes must be kept in lockers. Please keep all valuables at home. Again, we are not
responsible for any lost or stolen items.
- Please avoid the use of heavy perfume or cologne.
- No belt buckles, blue jeans or loose jewelry may be worn in the workout area.
FOOS & DRINK IN CLUB
- Water bottles with spill-proof lids are allowed in all areas of the club.
- Please consume all food items, shakes and supplements at the juice bar.
- No glass or open containers allowed on floor
STRENGHT & CARDIOVASULAR AREAS
- You are required to carry a towel with you at all times. Use it to wipe off equipment and benches after each use.
- Rack all weights after each use.
- If dumbbells appear loose or cracked, report the item to the staff immediately.
- Always use a spotter when attempting maximum weight.
- Collars and clips must be used for free bar lifting.
- No “dropping” weights or dumbbells and please return weights to their designated areas.
- Allow others to work in during your rest periods.
- Keep hands and feet away from all moving parts and weight stacks.
- Do not attempt to repair or adjust any equipment that has malfunctioned.
- Report any equipment problem immediately to the staff.
- If you are unfamiliar with the use of any equipment, please ask a staff member for assistance.
- Children under the age of 13 are not allowed in any of the weight or cardiovascular areas.
- Youths ages 10-12 can use the cardiovascular equipment only… and must be within 3 feet of parent at all times.
- Limit cardiovascular workouts to 30 minutes during peak hours.
ROCKWALL
- Mandatory 1-hour Climbing Safety Course is required prior to climbing ($25 per person).
- Parent must attend Climbing Safety Course with all climbers under the age of 14.
- To insure proper harness & knot tying safety, all climbers 14 and under must be accompanied by parent when
climbing.
- Sign-in required each time you climb.
- All climbers must sign liability waiver. If under 18, parent or legal guardian must sign.
- Pre-registration required for Safety Course to assure proper student-teacher ratio (6 students per class).
- Belayer must be at least 15 years old.
- Must be at least 4 years old to climb. Parent Must Be Belayer!
- No climbing without QLS Harness
- Bouldering and Lead Climbing restricted
GYMNASIUM
- No black sole shoes allowed on gym floor.
- No fighting or rough play or abusive language.
- No “kicking” basketballs or volleyballs.
- QLS members are responsible for the actions of their guests.
RACQUETBALL COURTS
- Must wear safety glasses at all times while playing Racquetball.
- Tennis shoes with light color soles only...No black sole shoes allowed.
- No food or drink on court.
- Play on assigned court at assigned times.
- Max four players per court.
- No horse play on court.
- Do not hit or throw rackets on floor.
